Canobie House is an extensively restored Queenslander built in the 1890’s. Enjoy your stay in a historic tropical Australian home with high pressed metal ceilings, tongue ‘n groove interior walls, original hoop pine floors throughout and cedar wood archways, all nestled on the lower slopes of Townsville’s famous landmark, Castle Hill. Only minutes walk from Townsville city heart with shops, restaurants and cinemas, we are just a few minutes drive from beaches, ferries, the airport and the railway station. We provide a courtesy pick-up service and have ample off street parking for guests who drive.
Our queen size bedrooms have ensuite facilities and air conditioning, and we offer a choice of living and eating areas as well as a solar heated outdoor spa. We enjoy welcoming visitors to our home and can provide extensive knowledge about the local area. Our interests include music, travel, golf, wine, classic cars, theatre and the outdoors.
